English language requirements
All international students coming to study in the UK on a Student Route visa are required to demonstrate their proficiency in English language. The minimum English language requirements for each programme are specified on the course description.
We accept a range of global English tests (eg IELTS, TOEFL iBT). In addition, we may be able to accept English from Indian Standard XII exams, depending on the Board and overall score achieved. Confirmation that English was the mode of instruction at your university is not accepted as evidence that you meet the requirements.
For further guidance about evidencing English language proficiency, please contact the International Office or the relevant admissions team. Alternatively, consult our English Language requirements.
