Students from China may apply for a Chevening Scholarship for taught master’s courses or for China Scholarship Council for PhD programmes.
The University of Manchester is pleased to continue the formal partnership with the China Scholarship Council to develop high-calibre research collaborations between UK and Chinese universities and research institutions. We offer a prestigious Joint Scholarship Programme (PDF, 812KB) with the China Scholarship Council for PhD study. Up to 52 scholarships will be supported per academic year, across our three Faculties as below:
- 40 PhD tuition-fee waivers for subjects within the Faculty of Science and Engineering
- Six PhD tuition-fee waivers for subjects within the Faculty of Humanities
- Six PhD tuition-fee waivers for subjects within the Faculty of Biology Medicine and Health
Application deadline
The current application deadline for September 2024 entry is Tuesday, 16 January 2024.
