We require an UG honours degree (minimum Lower Second or equivalent) from a reputable internationally-recognised institution in:
- Pharmaceutical sciences and other health sciences related degrees;
- Biomedical sciences;
- Pharmacology;
- Chemistry;
- Engineering;
- Mathematics;
- Statistics.
Priority will be given to students with the strongest grades from high-ranking institutions. We expect successful applicants to demonstrate:
- Interest and basic understanding of pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamic concepts.
- Numerical ability.
- Prior experience and/or evidenced interest in use of relevant scientific programming languages.

Course overview
- Qualify as a mathematical modeller with key skills in computational approaches in pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics.
- Benefit from workshop sessions by applying the skills you develop to real-world data.
- Study at a university ranked 5th in the UK for Pharmacy and Pharmacology (QS 2021).
- Units are also available as CPD courses.
Please note
This course develops mathematical modelling skills and has no laboratory or animal-based components. It also does not involve bioinformatics or molecular modelling.
This course is unsuitable for candidates who do not have the necessary numerical ability.

Policy on additional costs
