Alan Gilbert Square
The outdoor area directly in front of the Alan Gilbert Learning Commons, our 24/7 study and learning space, provides green spaces for students to enjoy during breaks from teaching and learning.
University Green
University Green is a landmark development within the Oxford Road regeneration project. The development was completed in summer 2018 and provides retail and leisure space for brands including Pret A Manger, Brew Dog, Five Guys and Blackwell’s.
Brunswick Park
This parkland is the largest green space on campus, offering seating areas, pedestrian walkways and cycle paths to benefit staff, students, visitors and the local community.
The area was formerly Brunswick Street and was extensively redeveloped to provide a central space for large-scale campus events, such as open days, graduation and Welcome Week. It is a prime location, which also provides an impressive setting for the University’s historic buildings along Oxford Road, including the Whitworth Hall and the Queen’s Arch.
