
Manchester–Heidelberg Research Fund
The University of Manchester and the Heidelberg University have established a joint fund to deepen and extend collaborative research links between the universities.
As leaders in research and innovation, our universities share a commitment to advancing knowledge, fostering interdisciplinary collaboration, and addressing global challenges.
Through providing seed funding we hope to foster lasting and sustainable connections that lead to larger initiatives and external funding.
Interested researchers can submit a joint collaborative application by Monday 10 June.
About the fund
This joint research call aims to facilitate meaningful partnerships across disciplines, leveraging our collective expertise to address pressing issues.
The fund is open to applications from all research areas, and we encourage participation from Early Career Researchers as either principal investigators or members of the project team.

How to apply
Proposals should outline the research activities, objectives, methodology, expected outcomes, and potential impact. We encourage interdisciplinary teams that bridge our institutions.
